Why I'm starting this blog....

This blog is set up as a way to educate people about the various ways that hatred is manifesting in our country, our communities and our scene.

In the last year, the hate talk and rhetoric have risen to a fever pitch, and now we are beginning to see the damage it has caused.

As Goths who believe in the right to be different, should we not stand against those who would do violence to others they perceive as different from themselves?
Check out some of the stories here, and see if you agree.
This story scared the heck out of me:

Right-Wing Conference Tells Activists To Get Their Guns Ready
For ‘Bloody Battle’ With Obama The Nazi

The message here is that we have a contingent of backwards thinking people in this country who truly believe that violence is the way to express dissent. They are rabidly Anti-Gay, Anti-Feminist, Anti-Government.
Fueled by Right-Wing Hate Talk show hosts like Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Mike Savage and others-- people terrified of losing their guns are getting more and more paranoid, and now there has been a murder.
About two weeks ago, a Government Census worker was found hanged to death in rural Kentucky.

What has this got to do with the Gothic Community, you ask? Well, unfortunately we have our own batch of hatemongers. And it's sad, and it's very scary.
Let's not perpetrate the hate by dividing ourselves into factions-- united we stand...well, you know the rest.
